Joining/Clan Life

Entry Requirements

TouchStone is a more relaxed clan, and thus has only a short list of requirements. The current requirements are:

• Must have remorted AT LEAST once. This means you have added a class onto the class you started with. For more information, you can use the ‘help remort’ command in game, or go to http://www.aardwolf.com/wiki/index.php/Help/Remort.

• 2,000 Quest Points earned. For more information on quests, you may use the ‘help quest’ command in game, or you can go to http://www.aardwolf.com/wiki/index.php/Help/Quest.

Promotions

Our promotion system is based on points. A member must gain a certain amount of points before being promoted. Each time you are promoted you have to wait a certain period before you can be promoted again. The waiting period and the number of points required can be seen in our requirements for each rank.

*Note you start at zero points when you enter the clan*

Talc - -Starting Rank

Gypsum - 10 points and 30 days.

Apatite - 25 points and 60 days .

Feldspar - 40 points and 90 days.

Quartz - 60 points and 160 days.

Topaz - Promotion based on Leader Discretion.

Corundum - Clan wide vote during Leader Elections.

Earning Points

Points can be earned in a variety of ways. This includes:

• 1 point per 2,000 quest points earned.

• 1 point per 500 rooms explored.

• 1 point per 25 levels gained.

• 1 point for 10 completed campaigns.

• 1 point per Global Quest win.

• 1 point for 50 power ups.

• 3 points for SuperHero Loud.

• 5 points for Tier.

• 1-3 points to be handed out by leaders at their discretion.

Demotions

The following situations are grounds for demotions:

• Harassing ANYONE on the mud.

• Being frozen or worse as punishment, expect a minimum of 1 rank reduction

• Violation of any of the Help Policies or Rules of the Mud.

Banishment

This can occur for the following reasons:

• Member requests to be outcast.

• Inactive to the point that member had already been demoted to the lowest rank.

• If member brings shame to the clan. This will be determined by a vote of members rank 6 or above.

(Note: If the member bringing disgrace to the clan is rank 6 or higher, the vote will rest upon the leaders. If he/she is Leader then the vote rests in the hands of the clan, and the clan must vote whether to remove said player as leader, and then whether or not to outcast them.)

Other

A person may only be promoted to Topaz if he/she is at least at the rank of Feldspar and the leaders see him/her fit for the job.

During a leader election anyone rank 5 or above may nominate themselves to run. After a list of candidates are posted a candidate may write a ‘Why vote for me’ note to the clan. A clan wide election will be hosted where the active members will vote. The election will be a simple majority (ie. 50% + 1 vote) will declare the winner.

Decision Making

Day to day running of the clan will often times make decisions necessary on the fly. The Leaders may do what is needed as long as it represents the clans best interest.

The leaders (simple majority) may at any time decide to put any decision up to a vote with the same rules as new leader elections.
